the one and the other, 2016
An interactive, occasional performance intervention, bubblegum taste, custom made candies, transparent blue and shiny silver color candy wraps, 45 x 45 x 5 cm ballot box with a glass side.
Two colored wrapped candies are offered at the art Center’s reception area, gallery visitors can pick the color of their choice. The wraps are placed inside a ballot box on the wall. The candies are custom made, all taste of bubblegum and featuring the same design with ‘one + other’ text written in the heart of the candy, regardless the color of the wraps. The one and the other is created to participate in (test) in between exhibition of Katerina Athanasiou at Beton 7, Center for the arts in Athens, and it is sponsored by Kalliopi Kalamara and the Soocre handmade candy shop.
