three times three, 2001

Site specific installation, cotton, thread, metal bars, 210 x 45 cm.

The embroidery ‘Three Times Three’ was specifically made for the first part of What if exhibition in Athens. Two more exhibitions were actualized in London and Ankara, with participating artists from Greece, England and Turkey. For the Athenian part entitled What If, Reflections On Choice, an embroidered banner was installed by the entrance, presenting the house number 333 of the venue, through a co-existence of the 3 languages involved: Greek, Turkish and English.
