Site specific installation with sound, in collaboration with the Japanese singer Moomiu.

CCA Kitakyushu studio spaces were housed inside a former basketball court. The roof top above the studio ceiling was accommodating the two deactivated basketball bases, disguising part of the space’s identity. The Japanese singer Moomiu was invited to perform a site specific, vocal piece in the otherwise invisible space above the CCA Kitakyushu studios. To attend the performance, visitors were invited to wear a pair of handmade, Japanese – style slippers and climb up a ladder to the concealed parts of the building.

The vocal piece was collaboratively conceived by Moomiu in collaboration with Lea Petrou, specifically for the CCA Kitakyushy open studios 2004. To view more collaborations with Moomiu follow this link.
